Gauge:  20sts by 36rows in stockinette to a 4” (10cm) square.  While gauge is less critical for a shawl, your yarn yardage requirements will vary when knitting to a different gauge and the overall size of the shawl will change.

Needles: 24” long  US 6 (4.0mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
